Installing an eSIM is usually straightforward on a compatible, unlocked phone. Always follow the specific instructions supplied with your purchased plan.
Before installation
Check carrier unlock
Your phone must permit eSIM profiles from other providers.
Connect to the internet
Have a reliable Wi-Fi or other internet connection available for downloading the profile.
Installation on iPhone
Open mobile settings
Go to Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Data.
Add an eSIM
Choose Add eSIM and follow the supplied QR-code or manual-installation instructions.
Choose the data line
Select your travel eSIM for mobile data when appropriate for your plan.
Installation on Android
Open SIM settings
Find SIM manager or SIMs under your phone's connection settings.
Add the eSIM
Follow your manufacturer's eSIM setup flow using the supplied installation details.
Check data settings
Choose the correct mobile-data line and follow any plan-specific roaming instructions.
Important information
Do not delete an installed eSIM unless your provider's instructions explicitly allow reinstallation. Activation and validity triggers differ between plans.
